Sambafeat's music finds a comfortable home in fine dining and lounges in Portland. They easily move from jazz interpretations of bossa nova tunes (How Insensitive) to a lively latin fusion- rearranging tunes to get fresh perspective on old favorites (Girl from Ipanema).
Currently, the quartet is pushing their sound further into the realm of samba. Influenced by modern and old artists from Brazil (Jorge Ben, Seu Jorge, Maria Rita and samba batucada from Rio) Sambafeat is adapting large ensemble numbers to a their capable quartet. The piano, bass, guitar, and cajon arrangements range from organic and intimate to rich and full fitting everything from lounge cocktail conversations to couples looking to celebrate the Brazilian samba with dancing feet.
Jerome Monaco, lead vocalist and acoustic guitar, fills lounges and cafes with his warm voice singing Italian, Portuguese, and English.  With occasional shout choruses, instrumental solos and groove arrangements the group creates a sound for many occasions be it
romance, dancing, or dining ambience.
